Abstract:
“Scientific Studies in the World of Sports,” which does not limit sports to physical performance alone but examines it through its scientific, psychological, and social dimensions, brings together research from various disciplines. It covers a wide range of topics, from the nutritional needs of young athletes to the effects of exercise on brain activity, and from the formation of an athlete’s identity to fans’ sense of belonging. In addition to the historical development of sports and management approaches, it also examines practical issues such as injury prevention, rehabilitation processes, and athletes’ return to competition. The risks encountered in underwater sports and the role of wearable technologies in performance tracking and injury prevention highlight how current developments are shaping the world of sports. Spanning from individual experiences to team dynamics, and from biological processes to technological innovations, these studies offer diverse perspectives for understanding the multifaceted nature of sports. The book serves as a comprehensive reference source for academics, researchers, coaches, and all those interested in the field of sports who wish to keep up with current debates in sports science and bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and practical application.
