Öz:
Elinizdeki bu çalışma, Prof. Dr. Hatire Beşirli’nin “Toplumsal Bellek ve Kültürel Kimlik Açısından Âşıklık Geleneği (Azerbaycan Örneği)” başlıklı araştırması etrafında şekillenmiş olup, âşıklık geleneğini tarihsel, sosyolojik ve kültürel boyutlarıyla ele alan kapsamlı bir inceleme sunmaktadır. Eser, ozan-baksı geleneğinin kadim köklerinden başlayarak günümüzün dijitalleşen performans dünyasına kadar uzanan geniş bir tarihsel süreci disiplinlerarası bir yaklaşımla mercek altına almaktadır. Bu kitap, yalnızca halk bilimi araştırmacıları için hazırlanmış akademik bir inceleme değildir. Aynı zamanda Türk dünyasının kültürel köklerini, toplumsal hafızasının nasıl şekillendiğini ve kimlik inşasının hangi kültürel araçlarla sürdürüldüğünü anlamak isteyen her okur için değerli bir başvuru kaynağıdır. Şiirsel formların teknik analizini aşarak bir “kültürel kimlik okuması”na dönüşen bu çalışma, sazın sesini hem kulakla hem de tarihsel bilinç ve kültürel farkındalıkla dinlemenin kapılarını aralamaktadır. Gelecek kuşakların kendi kimliklerini inşa ederken dayanacakları sağlam kültürel temellerin anlaşılmasına katkı sunan âşıklık geleneği asırlardır süregelen canlılığını ve toplumsal önemini bir kez daha ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bağlamda âşık sanatı, sazın tellerinde yankılanan sesin aslında bir milletin hafızası, kimliği ve tarihsel sürekliliği olduğunu güçlü bir biçimde hatırlatmaktadır. Sonda bu çalışmanın, Türk dünyasının ortak kültürel mirasının anlaşılmasına ve âşıklık geleneği üzerine yapılacak yeni araştırmalara ilham vermesini temenni ediyoruz.
Abstract:
This volume is centered on Prof. Dr. Hatire Beşirli’s research titled “The Tradition of the Âşık from the Perspectives of Social Memory and Cultural Identity (The Case of Azerbaijan)” and offers a comprehensive examination of the âşık tradition from historical, sociological, and cultural perspectives. The work examines a broad historical process—spanning from the ancient roots of the ozan-baksı tradition to today’s digitalized performance world—through an interdisciplinary lens. This book is not merely an academic study intended solely for folklore researchers. It is also a valuable reference source for any reader seeking to understand the cultural roots of the Turkic world, how its social memory has been shaped, and the cultural tools through which identity construction is sustained. Transcending the technical analysis of poetic forms to become a “cultural identity reading,” this work opens the doors to listening to the sound of the saz not only with the ear but also with historical consciousness and cultural awareness. The tradition of aşık poetry, which contributes to the understanding of the solid cultural foundations upon which future generations will build their own identities, once again demonstrates its enduring vitality and social significance that has persisted for centuries. In this context, the art of the aşık powerfully reminds us that the sound resonating through the saz’s strings is, in fact, the memory, identity, and historical continuity of a nation. Finally, we hope this study will inspire a deeper understanding of the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic world and spur new research on the tradition of the aşık.
