Öz:
George Trumbull Ladd’in The Philosophy of Religion (Din Felsefesi, 2 cilt, 1905) adlı eseri, insanlığın dini bilincinin kökenini, doğasını ve tarihsel gelişimini inceleyen kapsamlı ve eleştirel bir çalışmadır.
Abstract:
George Trumbull Ladd’s The Philosophy of Religion (2 volumes, 1905) is an expansive, critical study exploring the origin, nature, and development of the religious consciousness of humanity. Ladd synthesizes insights from psychology, philosophy, and history to examine religion as a universal human phenomenon rooted in both rational thought and emotional, goal-directed experience. The text systematically investigates the conception of God, the nature of religious knowledge, the problem of evil, and the ultimate destiny of man. By grounding philosophical theology in psychological principles and empirical comparative data, Ladd provides a comprehensive defense of the rationality of religious belief while detailing how faith evolves alongside human culture.
