<p><strong>Öz:</strong><br>George Trumbull Ladd’in <em>The Philosophy of Religion</em> (Din Felsefesi, 2 cilt, 1905) adlı eseri, insanlığın dini bilincinin kökenini, doğasını ve tarihsel gelişimini inceleyen kapsamlı ve eleştirel bir çalışmadır. Ladd; psikoloji, felsefe ve tarih alanlarından edindiği birikimi sentezleyerek dini, hem rasyonel düşünceye hem de duygusal ve amaca yönelik deneyimlere dayanan evrensel bir insani olgu olarak ele alır. Yapıt; Tanrı kavramını, dini bilginin mahiyetini, kötülük problemini ve insanın nihai kaderini sistematik biçimde araştırır.
