Öz:
Clarence G. Hamilton'ın Sound and Its Relation to Music (Ses ve Müzikle İlişkisi) adlı eseri, fiziksel akustik ile müzik teorisini birleştiren temel bir başvuru kaynağıdır.
Abstract:
Clarence G. Hamilton’s Sound and Its Relation to Music serves as a foundational text bridging physical acoustics with musical theory. The work systematically breaks down the mechanics of sound production, transmission, and perception, explaining physical properties such as frequency, wave motion, and resonance in the context of musical pitch and volume. Hamilton detail-orients the physical architecture of various instruments, the anatomical mechanics of the human ear, and the psychological processing of tone and harmony. By connecting natural laws of sound with scales, intervals, and acoustics, the book establishes an essential scientific foundation for understanding how acoustic phenomena transform into structured musical art.
