Bu sayede insan toplumda ileti\u015fim kurar ve \u00e7evresinde kendisini ifade etme olana\u011f\u0131na sahip olur. Konu\u015ftu\u011fu dil ne olursa olsun insan, dil kullan\u0131m\u0131 sayesinde varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ortaya koymak suretiyle kendini ifade eder. Dil ayn\u0131 zamanda milletlerin, uluslar\u0131n da varl\u0131k sebebidir. \u00c7eviri, dil-k\u00fclt\u00fcr ili\u015fkisi ba\u011flam\u0131nda ileti\u015fimi destekleyen bir unsur, bir dilsel ara\u00e7 iken, \u00c7eviribilim dil-\u00e7eviri konu ve sorunlar\u0131n\u0131 irdeleyen bilim dal\u0131d\u0131r. Abstract:<\/strong>
Language (Eng. Language, Fr. Langage) is the most important characteristic that distinguishes humankind from other living beings. Through language, humans communicate within society and have the ability to express themselves in their environment. Regardless of the language they speak, humans express themselves by asserting their existence through the use of language. Language is also the raison d\u2019\u00eatre of peoples and nations. While translation is an element that supports communication within the context of the language-culture relationship\u2014a linguistic tool\u2014translation studies is the academic discipline that examines issues and problems related to language and translation. In the broadest sense, the fundamental academic discipline that studies the natural languages, words, and discourses used by humans is \u201cLinguistics,\u201d considered a cornerstone of the Social and Humanities Sciences. The Swiss linguist Ferdinand de Saussure, known as the founder of linguistics and the \u201cFather of Linguistics,\u201d (1965), the foundation of the functionalist theory of linguistics he presented in his timeless work Course in General Linguistics<\/em> is formed by the concepts of \u201cLanguage, Linguistic Competence, Speech,\u201d and the individual who uses language, the \u201cSpeaking Subject.\u201d These concepts also establish important dichotomies\u2014such as \u201cLanguage\u2013Language Ability\u201d and \u201cLanguage\u2013Speech\u201d\u2014by forming binary pairs within a relational context. This book, titled \u201cText, Translation, and Linguistics,\u201d consists of a collection of valuable and thought-provoking studies that address the concept of language, relate it to the individual who uses it, and evaluate it contextually within a framework of social criteria, focusing primarily on Turkish as well as various other foreign languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
