Abstract:<\/strong>
When we speak of Turkish dialects, what typically comes to mind is a vast river whose branches may seem geographically distant from one another but are, at their core, nourished by the same source. This study, which we have titled \u201cShared Memory, Shared Language: Research on Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures,\u201d was prepared with the aim of capturing the currents in the different branches of this river and reinterpreting the shared spirit behind words, proverbs, and literary texts. Shaped by the convergence of academic scholarship, field research, and textual analysis, this work aims to take readers on an in-depth journey through the rich geography of the Turkish world. This book is the collective effort of those who trace the path of that profound sense of belonging\u2014which we cannot name but feel deep in our bones\u2014as well as shared memory and a common language. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all my fellow authors who have produced high-quality works in various dialects and literary fields of the Turkish world and who have generously offered their support throughout this project. We believe that this work will open new doors for researchers, students, and everyone devoted to Turkish culture; it will serve as a means for our shared memory to be understood with a louder, clearer voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
