Abstract:<\/strong>
Cultural heroes are central figures in mythology. According to mythological belief, all the material and cultural values necessary for a tribe or ethnic group were created by cultural heroes at some point in the distant past. Therefore, the cultural hero is, on the one hand, associated with archaic mythology and the cult of ancestors, and on the other hand, with the subsequent transformation of myths and their main characters into folklore. All these issues are explored in detail in the book, and the cultural hero in Turkish mythology is compared with corresponding figures in the myths of many other peoples of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
