<p><strong>Öz:</strong><br><em>Education by Storytelling</em> adlı eserinde Katherine Dunlap Cather, hikâye anlatımını bilişsel, ahlaki ve toplumsal gelişimi destekleyen temel bir eğitim yöntemi olarak sunar. Sınıf deneyimlerinden ve eğitim kuramlarından hareketle, anlatının hayal gücünü beslediğini, etik düşünmeyi teşvik ettiğini ve dikkatli dinleme becerisi kazandırdığını savunur. Cather, hikâyeyi yalnızca eğlenceli bir etkinlik olarak değil, kültürel değerleri ve kolektif hafızayı aktaran bilinçli bir pedagojik araç olarak değerlendirir. Özellikle erken çocukluk ve ilköğretim bağlamında anlatının karakter oluşumuna ve zihinsel gelişime katkısını vurgular.
