Particularly in the 18th century, during the time of the poet \u00c2g\u00e2h, the existence of a literary community that brought together scholars and poets in Diyarbekir turned the city into a center for literary activities. This study first attempts to examine which civilizations the city has hosted throughout its history and the place and importance of Diyarbekir as a city of art in the context of space and people. Then, the study moves on to the main subject that constitutes the content of the work. In this context, it examines the conditions under which literary and artistic activities developed in Diyarbekir, the literary circles where artists gathered, the works they read in these places, and, consequently, the role of these literary circles in cultural transmission and human development. Undoubtedly, the interest of the people of Diyarbekir in poetry and literature and the respect shown by statesmen to poets and artists had a significant impact on the formation of literary circles in Diyarbekir.
